Happy Valentine's Day!

Oh Valentine’s Day…*sigh.* It is shaping up to be an interesting one, but let’s start with a brief history of LaCore Family (the JK branch of the family tree) Valentine’s Days:

2009: Went to Prairie Home Companion at the Fitz, listened to the “love song request show” on the Current, cooked salmon stuffed with cheese and other good stuff, drank wine.

2010: Ate a catered dinner with wine at a nature center in the western metro and did a candlelit snowshoe walk through the woods. It was chilly, but there was hot chocolate.

2011: Went out looking for new apartments, had dinner and a beer at Chatterbox café, may or may not have conceived small son.

2012: This was a classic…our first with Henry. CLICK HERE for the story.

2013: Jon was out the door just after 5:30am to get in a few more hours of studying for an exam. Henry also decided to get up in the 5:00 hour. He and I hit up playgroup, drank green smoothies for lunch, and he took a late nap. Jon has a late clinic today (his first in gynecology) and we're having homemade chicken soup and biscuits for dinner tonight. I have no doubt we will all be sleeping by 9:00pm. 

Happy Valentine’s Day! Oh yes, and my favorite quote from the week (regarding Valentine’s Day):

“We can just make up for it next year…(pause)…or the year after, actually."
