Zest!

I'm pretty sure it is completely nerdy that I am really excited about my new lemon zester. My life has been altered by a kitchen tool. I have been zesting many lemons in the last few months and I REALLY don't like doing it...until I found this little gem at a new kitchen shop in Duluth:

Rather than using a stand-up cheese grater and having the little zest pieces fly off the counter, into the coil burners, down my shirt, etc...they are now all contained in the little compartment like this:

And then I can simply pop the zest into my dish all easy peasy like this:

Nerdy perhaps; don't get me started on my wee little lemon JUICER.
