FOG

Yesterday's heat was a little bit rough on us. Little Man couldn't sleep, didn't want to eat, wasn't sure what he wanted, and wouldn't let me help him with much. Today we received the gift of cooler temperatures. It looked like it might rain, but we're not afraid of a little wet fog. We hit up the local coffee shop to eat our banana (and to slam a latte)...then we headed to the beach.

You can't see much of the lake here, but we didn't care.
All we needed was fresh, cool air in our lungs.

My friend likes to take pictures of things going on at her feet.
These two photos are for you, Meg.  :)

It is fun to look down and witness what is happening NOW, at your feet.

"It is not the clear-sighted who rule the world. Great
achievements are accomplished in a blessed, warm fog."
Joseph Conrad

This was the second of four ensembles Henry wore for the morning.
Bet you can't guess why I had to keep changing his clothes.

Bodybuilder pose. Ka-POW.

This was probably my favorite outfit of the morning.

Grateful for slightly cooler temperatures and a woodsy play land right out of our front and back doors.

  2. Oh how I love this post, as we are now living in the middle of the thickest, most wonderful, blessedly foggy town I could have dreamed for after spending the past 10 years in Southern California and Texas! You can take the girl out of grey Northern MN but you can't take the grey out of her heart!!!
