You Can Call Me "Master"

I mailed in my thesis. I have finished the degree I started five years ago - the paper I began two years ago. After almost quitting twice, I now have "M.A." in alphabet soup behind my name. My advice to those considering another degree:

• Join a program with a cohort and get it done in two years with that support. Even if you think you are good with self-deadlines, you are not.
• Do not take the course titled "Research Methods" online.
• Refrain from being transformed into a parent 80% of the way through writing your thesis.
