Trip Up North

We had a fun trip up north - complete with great weather for most of it! We spent the weekend in Ashland with Auntie Lisa, running Whistlestop. My 10k felt great. I shaved almost three minutes off of the time I got two years ago shortly after our wedding (when I felt like I was in pretty good shape)...so I was excited about that!

It was a chilly morning; perfect running weather, cold spectating weather.
Henry was a champ though - Papa kept him warm!

Auntie rocked the 1/2 marathon. She is fast and amazing!

Then it was on to Duluth to celebrate some birthdays, including Henry's! We had an AWESOME meal, as usual, and Henry got some adorable gifts...including this puppy (PUPPY!!!) from Auntie Anna.

We spent the following day with Grandma, Auntie and cousins down by the lake. We went on the swings and walked down by the water. Henry threw some sticks and ate some rocks.

Sharing rocks with cousin.

We had a perfect lake day! Look at that blue sky.

This is right where our good friends got married
so it was fun to visit this place again.

Henry loves Duluth!

Then it was on to Virginia where we visited with grandparents and did fun things like going for long walks, eating out at restaurants and, of course, swinging.

Flyin' high!

Henry's new thing is pointing to everything and
saying "Oooh!" with this facial expression.

Henry and Grammy. Thanks for having us for four days, Grammy!

The day after we got back, we wasted no time in meeting up with our buddies for some pumpkin patch fun. This corn maze was incredible! And we had an amazing lunch of kettle corn, cider doughnuts and brats. (Frowny face.)

It's good to be home...now prepping for someone's first birthday party and Halloween fun!
