Holidays: Phases 2 and 3

Shortly after Madison, we celebrated in Duluth with Jon's family and then headed north for time with my family...this I referred to as "Phase 2" of our holidays.
Hangin' with the cousins. (We successfully herded cats.)

Santa visits in-person on Christmas Eve each year. Henry is still not too sure about Santa, even though he likes to talk about him a lot. Here he is a little tentative:

As long as I was there in between them he seemed to have no problem with Santa. And he certainly had no problem with the present Santa brought him.

Grammy and the cats kids.

Then it was on to Phase 3, which was the Twin Cities extended family day and a little jaunt to Florida to see some friends and their new baby. Henry got to ride on an airplane for the first time and he loved it! Jorge did too (see below).

Florida was warm and there is green on the ground and growing all around. We got a lot of rain while we were down there, but it was certainly nice to thaw out a little bit. Here is Henry and Tio playing soccer in the backyard:

We spent a lot of time holding the baby, and Henry loved running
around the house and peeking at him and giving him toys.

Short-sleeved shirt in December!

Tio set up baby's new train track in the porch. It. Was. Awesome.
Lots of time spent out there putting that together and playing.

NYE brought out the BBQ and the neighbor boys. Henry had so
much fun watching the big kids. And playing Tio's bongo drums.

Big kids are super fun. So are scooters.

We had a big gorgeous meal on NYE. Here are
Henry and Tia cheers-ing with their milk.

We ate out our last night with them. Such a fun trip!!

Happy to be home now, slowly gliding into 2014 and a little bit of normal.

Happy New Year!
